Co-branded with the UC San Diego Sustainable Power and Energy Center (SPEC), this summer school will introduce the fundamental design principles and operation mechanisms of lithium-ion batteries, as well as techniques to fabricate and evaluate their performance. SPEC works on research and development of higher-performance and lower-cost materials and devices for energy generation, storage and conversion.
